South Dakota Retirement System Elects New Board Members
On Wednesday, June 14, 2017, the Board of Trustees of the South Dakota Retirement System appointed Roy Lindsay Jr. as the elected municipal official representative to the Board for the term beginning on July 1, 2017, and ending June 30, 2021. Mr. Lindsay is the mayor of Madison.
The South Dakota Retirement System is a public retirement plan operated for participating state and local government employees. Currently, the system has over 85,000 members, including state employees, teachers and school district employees, municipal employees, county employees, state and local public safety employees, Board of Regents employees, justices, judges, and magistrate judges, and certain elected officials.
